Checking account Making/receiving payments, sending money New York

Person with account at - - - - cashed my check of $110.00 for $1100.00 by altering the amount of the check and name on the check. Blatant fraud. Check was obviously altered. Have been back and forth with my bank, Chase, and - - - to try to recoup my money which was taken out of my account by their error. Check number - which was cashed on on - -, 2015. It is now - -, 2015 and I still have not been reimbursed. I have made numerous visits to both banks and am still getting the run-around.
