She and her family found themselves in a tough financial situation and soon they were having difficulty making ends meet. When she needed funds to pay for bills, she visited an ACE Cash Express location in - -, CA and took out a $300.00 loan, paying $45.00 in fees and receiving a $250.00 principal. After taking out the loan, she lost her job and her family only had her husband 's income to depend on. Paying back the loan was no longer something they could afford. She found herself repeating the loan - times, paying $220.00 in fees for a $250.00 principal. Soon after, her husband 's work hours were cut and he began working part time. The family could simply not afford to keep repeating the loan and had to default.
