I was charged by Volkswagen Credit - for wear and tear upon returning my lease vehicle. This bill came almost - months after I dropped off the car. To dispute the charge, I paid the bill with an - card. Supporting documentation was submitted to - and on my behalf, they waited for a evidence and a reply from VW to support their claims of the damages, but there was no reply. After almost - months, I was then issued a credit of - ( minus the return fee of $350.00 which I paid ) from VW. A few weeks ago VW sent me another bill for -. They called and threatened that the charges would go to a collection agency if not paid. [ In addition to this over a year ago, the maual transmission, for the same car in question, failed on the highway. VW claimed abuse, and I was charged over $2000.00 for a car barely - years old. According to them - other women have had the same issue and was not aware they did not know how to drive a stick and was responsible. They offered this unsolicited information despite the fact that my previous car was a VW - as well. - stepped in and disputed the charges and I was issued a refund. ] Because of their questionable practices I decided to return my car a month early and paid my last month 's payment early. This was a clean car that I returned. The has a parking space both at work and at home and rarely parked on the street.
