After being discharged from Bankruptcy in - -, I began receiving messages from -. After listening to a voice mail prompting me to call them back for a legal matter, I returned the call. I spoke to female that said I owed Chase Bank approximately $2000.00 for a credit card loan I took out in -. I told her that I had filed Bankruptcy and had been discharged and therefore did not owe the debt any longer. The female told me Bankruptcy did n't have anything to do with stealing over $2000.00 from a credit card and the civil charges they planned on filing. She stated because I did n't pay the debt to Chase, they were going to file Federal Charges in - hours if I did n't come up with the money. The female said that borrowing money and refusing to pay it back is a Federal Offense ( Grand Larceny ) and I will be prosecuted and I will receive jail time, about 5 years. '' I never had an account with Chase Bank but I was caught off guard by the threat of Federal


( -/-/- ), I received - back to back calls from the another number, - - - - ( Male who owns the company 's name is - - ). The same female answered the phone. She said her name was - -. She was with - - ''. She told me that I owed a debt to Washington Mutual from -. I told her I did not, never had an account with them. She went on to tell me that they were going to file Federal Charges against me for stealing money and refusing to pay the debt and I would be arrested. I told her I spoke to her before and this was a scam. She said that she would tell the District Attorney to proceed with the Federal charges and slammed the phone down in my ear. Upon investigation, I found the following information : - - - - - -, CA - turns out to be a false address. There is no -, California. This address is valid in -, OH, but it seems to be in the middle of a highway. Other consumers have received calls from the following numbers citing the exact same senario - - ( number on website ), -, - ( registered in -, NV ) and -. The company 's website gives several ways to contact them for potential clients- - ( main ), - ( fax ), Email addresses - ----- of this firm '' has several aliases - - - -, - - -, - '', - '', - - -, and his Operator goes by the name - - -. This is extortion. They appear to be looking up people who have recently been discharged from Bankruptcy and trying to strong-arm them into giving them money using threats and made up accounts that people do n't even owe.
