Discover Credit card department,
Discover Card has stolen $2800.00 from my bank account and not returned it in over 6 days - so far -. Details:1. My - cycle closed on -. I paid the balance in full on -. I have DirectPay Full Balance '' scheduled to pay the full balance from my checking account about 5 days before it is due. That automatic payment date was -, but the - balance was $0.00 at that point. 2. On - Discover informed me that my account - have been compromised and that they were sending new cards with a new account number. 3. On - Discover debited my checking account for the balance on my account for charges from - to -, which was $2800.00. 4. I spoke with Discover customer service on -. They admitted there had been a mistake on their part and that the $2800.00 would be returned to me. They offered to mail a check or do a wire transfer. I requested a wire transfer and was told it took 3-5 days. Calls to Customer Service on - and - produced excuses that it was being processed and would take a few more days. It is now - and Discover still has my $2800.00. 5. It is fortunate that my checking account was not overdrawn by Discover 's mistake ''. I can see how forthcoming they would be making that problem right. 6. When I make a payment from my checking account on my Discover account, it takes less than a day for the transaction to complete. For Discover to make a deposit into my checking account and have it take over 6 days should be unlawful.
