I received a court - for a - bill from - years ago from a debt collection agency. I called immediately to ask what it 's from and they would n't give any information and said I can pay - of it to settle it but that the legal process would n't stop. I asked how much half would be and they said -, but the amount of suit on the summons is listed as -. I hung up and called again and was given different information. I was told I could make a payment of $400.00 and monthly installments and it would halt the legal process. I do n't know what this debt is for or how much I actually owe and I 'm getting different information from different people. When I said I was unemployed they just sat on the phone in silence.
