I have been making deposits once a month for many years. Several months ago I got a notice threatening to send the balance of my account to the State of Texas because presumably my account had been dormant for more than a year. PenFed wo n't allow me to update my address even though I mailed them proof of address and proof of identity. They asked me to call and verify the information on the phone and I did call in, but it still is not updated. PenFed will not allow me open a checking account with them. As a result, one of the checks written on the account was my monthly check in the amount of $3000.00. Once he found out his banking account had been compromised, he immediately contact me and I immediately contacted PenFed.
