Debt collection cont'd attempts collect debt not owed debt is not mine August 31, 2016 - A subpoena letter was sent to my workplace by a debt collection lawyer in Ohio ( - - - ) regarding a debt accrued by a person with a similar name as me. The subpoena included my name, along with a couple aliases that do not match my name. When my office manager called this law office to see why they were asking for information about me, they gave her MY social security number and told her to fill out paperwork regarding my personal information ( i.e. address and phone number ), but would n't elaborate as to why.
