March 12, 2017 - I am a victim of identity theft but did n't know it until I receive a notice of garnishment from a company named Greater California Financial Services ( GCFS ). I called multiple times advising that i was a victim of identity theft but it lead no where. January 13, 2016 - In -/-/-, I was forced into a position where I needed a loan from - to make a deposit on a place to live. In -/-/-, I lossed my job and could no longer make payments toward this loan. At this time, I had already paid back the loan amount, but was still being charged interest. My loan was charged off in -/-/-. Collection efforts stopped and I was informed that my loan was null and void since - was being sued for illegal online loan servicing. October 14, 2015 - This GFCS company has come after me for a debt from 2007 in which I signed up for an online c=College - who shortly after I signed up lost their accrediation so I called them wanted to be excempt from paying this loan and they told me they would do so. I the mean time they turned it over to collectors who have contacted my employer and now put a lien on my banking accounts in the amount of - which is everything I have. August 5, 2015 - I am filing a complaint against greater California financial services because they are illegally trying to collect on a - - credit card debt that is not valid and also past its statutes of limitations. The credit card account was charged off seven years ago and it is not shown as reported on my credit report as of -/-/15.
