My son graduated - - with a private loan debt $170000.00 and federal loan debt of $35000.00. My son pays the federal and I pay the private. The grace period was requested, however due to financial hardships the account was reported as 180 days past due in - - although over $6000.00 was paid for -/-/-. Higher Education Student Assistance Authority (HESAA) Student loan dealing with my lender or servicer received bad information about my loan February 11, 2016 - My mother took out a loan for my college education with the Highe Education Student Assistant Authotrity in 2009. They made it seem that they were offering a federal loan. They sell themselves as being entirely affiliated with the state of New Jersey ; the state emblem and a picture of - - are on the front page of the website. They are, in fact, entirely private and I 'm filing this complaint because they 're misleading. I 'm also filing this complaint because they do n't offer income-based repayment or consolidation. They 're demanding more than $1000.00 per month from me, a ludicrous... |

I have been unfortunately misled into believing my loan was a government backed loan via its association to federal and state officers. I believe that this is grounds for a class action suit against the - for its misleading of the loan buyers via its various marketing materials. ... |
