This company has on several occasions called me, my family members, and my husband 's ex-wife stating that I have a pending law suit against me. The company gets very aggressive and threatening before hanging up. Today -/-/- I decided to go along with the call to find out exactly what they were trying to get from me. I have 2 voicemails from a gentleman stating that there was a lawsuit against me and that my failure to respond would result in my admission and I would be held accountable by the courts. I called back and was transferred to a girl that said it was in regards to a Wells Fargo account that I opened in -/-/- and that I overdrew the account and owed $4200.00, I knew that this was incorrect. She then stated that they had tried to settle the account with me for $1300.00 which was also incorrect. I told her that I was concerned that someone got a hold of my social security number and that I would be calling the social security department, she started to get aggressive and ask why I would do that but then quickly said that maybe I should because I am responsible for the debt and I should be prepared to show the judge everything. I asked when the court date would be and she said that would be in the letter they send me. I asked her when the account was closed and she said that I didn't close the account but Wells Fargo closed it because the account was so overdrawn. I also knew this was false. I called Wells Fargo and they confirmed that I do not have any outstanding accounts with them. I was able to get the name, address, and phone number to the company that has called. I want them to stop contacting me and the people I know in regards to this fraudulent claim. The company is called - - -, the phone number was -, and the address is - - - -, CA -.
