I used to have an account with - Internet service in -/-/-. Today, I was advised from a collection agency called Debt Recovery Solutions , LLC that I owe -. I know I do not owe this amount, so I called - directly on -/-/- at - - EST, and spoke with a - representative from - ( after being transferred a few times ) who located my account by address, and he told me that I do not owe any amount. He said when the account was active, the account was always paid in full every month. I asked him, " what should I tell the collection agency? ", and he said that I should give them my account number and they should be able to see that I do n't owe any balance. Unfortunately, I did not get the - rep 's name, thinking the account number would be sufficient but if their calls are recorded, then they should be able to locate that call to verify.


if I got a confirmation number from -. So then I called - immediately after my call with - from Debt Recovery Solutions. I spoke with - from - - -, who took a very long time trying to locate record of which I owe any amount. She did not find any amount that I owe to -, she does not show that I owe anything, however she could not confirm or deny that I owe $160.00, and referred me to Debt Recovery Solutions to verify if the debt is true, but when calling Debt Recovery Solutions, they are aggressively attempting to collect this amount regardless if this amount is true or not. If - saw that I do not owe anything, then why would she refer me to the collection agency to pay something that I do not owe?
