Incorrect information on credit report Public record Georgia

I have a tax lien reporting on my Transunion credit file due to having unpaid taxes i had to pay to the state of Georgia. Around -/-/-, I had received a letter from the state of Georgia saying that I owed at that time, $810.00 to the state due to taxes that I filed back in -/-/-. After receiving this notice, I immediately contacted Georgia Department of Revenue to get this taken care of which I did. I made payments over a period of about 10 months which totaled $810.00. I made these payments hoping nothing bad would come out of this and everything would be ok after its paid off. Well, I went to go try to finance a car and the dealer immediately turned me away due to having a tax lien on my credit report. At that time, I did not know what a tax lien was or how it even got on my credit file until I found out that it came from not paying my state taxes. As soon as I found out where it came from, I took aggressive action in trying to remove this from my credit file by disputing this with Transunion.


even pertain to them, why they just do n't remove it after years of it being on my credit file and being paid. Its not hurting Transunion! It 's hurting ME! Its literally keeping me from obtaining credit at many places. I am begging you, PLEASE ... PLEASE help me! I am trying to and wanting a better future for my family and I and this is really hurting it right now. Thank you so much for allowing me to write and submit this letter to you.
