- account was placed on debt management program -/-/2016. Account has - parts : pay in full and pay over time. Only pay over time was allowed to be on debt management. I was unable to pay the balance of the pay in full portion after entering the debt management program - had no extra money. The payments from the debt management program were applied to the pay in full portion of the balance until the balance was - out. However, the credit report shows that this account was 'closed derogatory ' - which is incorrect. - sent a letter saying the account was closed because it was put on a debt management program. Also, the 'latest status ' on the credit report shows 'collection/charge-off '. There are additional comments " charged off as bad debt. Managed by credit counseling ''. The implication is that the balance of this account has been unpaid and was turned over to collections. This is incorrect. I was NEVER contacted by a collections agency. The payments from the debt management program have been made every month, starting -/-/2016. The terms of the payment plan were set out by -. The unpaid balance for pay


Once that balance was paid, the pay over time balance began to get paid down, and is what is being paid now. When I contacted - about the status as 'charged off ', I was told that it was because of the late payments reported for pay in full, the account would remain as 'charged off ' until the balance was paid off. I have attached some documents : - letter about how they do the debt management program. It states that the account in the debt management plan would not be given a derogatory status if the payments came on time - which they have. The part of the account that was not allowed to be in the program should n't affect the status of the account that IS enrolled in the program. ; there is the letter from - stating that my account was closed because I was enrolled in the debt management program - not due to late payments, as shows up in the credit reports ; there also are statements from -/-/2016 that show that every dollar paid for the debt management program was applied to the balance that was NOT allowed to be in the program, until it was paid off ; there is a copy of the pages of the Trans Union credit report about this card. The inaccuracies in how this account has been reported gives a very negative assessment on an account that in fact has been getting paid every month on time since -/-/2016 when the debt management plan began.
