I have found myself in a difficult situation since someone stole my identity. I feel I have exhausted all my efforts and need additional help. I have submitted to each of the credit bureaus a copy of both a police report, my identity theft affidavit, and a copy of my personal information i.e. my drivers license, copy of my passport, and my social security card. Additionally, I sent in a letter disputing the inaccurate information and got no response at all. It has now been over 30 days and I have yet to hear any response from them regarding the matter. I am now submitting a complaint to request additional help in rectifying the situation. I know the credit bureaus are each in violation of federal statute, and the only request I have is for the fraudulently reported information to be removed and blocked so that I am no longer affected by it. It has been interfering with me being able to get credit, gain additional employment, and hindering the quality of life I deserve to live.
