Citibank Prepaid card department,
General purpose card Managing, opening, or closing account Connecticut
I returned several items to my local Home Depot on -/-/2016. The receipt I was given showed - separate credits, apparently because I 'd used different cards for the purchases. However, although - of the credits did appear on my Citibank Visa ( for $160.00 ), the other - credits ( for $25.00 & $39.00 ) were apparently credited to - different prepaid Visa cards. The problem is that because the - prepaid Visa cards had already expired at the time the credits were issued, there is no way at all for me to access the funds on the card. I did call both gift card issuers and they confirmed that there is no way for me to use those funds. I do n't really understand how Home Depot could have credited these - amounts, $39.00 and $25.00 to E-PIRED prepaid cards. It seems like the expiration dates ought to have come up on their computers at the time they attempted to process the credit. I should have been offered the option of a store credit, which I could actually have used. As it stands I 'm out a total of $64.00 with absolutely no way to recover those funds. The identifying info on the Home Depot receipt is as follows : At the top of the receipt : - -/-/2016 - PM Cashier - : *ORIG Rec : - -/-/2016 - - At the bottom of the receipt : - VISA $ - - VISA - - VISA - Thank you. -
