I was at the dentist office having work done and they noticed that I needed - and other things. So, they provided me with a quote and offered care credit. Mind you, I was on - provided by the dentist at the time. So, we just filled out the application. The only way the credit was described to me was that there would be no interest for an allotted time and after that, there would be applied interest. There was no explanation of a " deferred '' interest. I pay my account through the phone app and have been paying it ever since. I happened to log on a few nights ago and thats when I found out the deferred interest that was applied about two months ago. So, in efforts to help myself and help get this paid, I called care credit and spoke to a representative and an account manager who informed me that there was nothing they could do. I told them that I could not afford the interest that amounted to almost the same amount or more than the actual credit owed. They told me that there was nothing they could do and it was not their fault that it was not explained to me correctly. My complaint other than them not being helpful is that when they are going to have a third party company " sell '' their credit, they need to explain it just as a creditor would or the " product '' is not being sold how it should be.
