Closing/Cancelling account California
We tried to purchase a stove on our Lowe 's credit card. Lowe 's called to say the item was not in stock and they would not be charging our credit card. We tried to purchase a second stove and the same thing happened. When we tried a third time we were declined because the - previous stoves had been put on our credit card. We tried contacting the company and the gentleman we spoke with could not understand that our credit was being utilized by a total of - stoves we were unable to purchase and were told we would not be charged for. We tried for over an hour to cancel the stoves to free up our credit. After not getting anywhere we hung up. About five days after trying to clear our credit card we received a letter stating we had asked to close our Lowe 's credit card account. We had NOT asked to close the account. We called Lowe 's to find out why the account was closed They stated we closed it We asked for the recording of us agreeing to close our account. They said the person who has the recording was on vacation. We have called back and have not received a response from Lowe 's.
