Synchrony Financial Credit card department,
I have a Sams Club Credit Card issued by Syncrony Bank. The account ends in -. Today I logged onto the Synchrony web-site to check the statement balance on the card, I was unable to determine that information, though the current balance in prominently displayed. Unable to find the information, I call Synchrony Bank and spoke to a customer service agent. The agent, very polite, informed me that I could not see that information on the web-site, nor could she provide it to me by telephone, because I had not enrolled in e-statements. She did offer to mail me new statements that would arrive in 6-10 business days. While I do not know if this is a regulatory issue, it seems the intent of Synchrony is to withold information from clients who wish to continue receiving paper statements. Being over -, I am not comfortable relying soley on this delivery method.
