I paid off my credit card in full on -/-/- with Bank of America on a closed account. On -/-/- I received a bill from Bank of America for $1.00 cents. When I called to ask were this charge came from the phone rep said it 's the minimum charge for all credit cards. I told her that my account was paid in full on -/-/- and has been closed for over 10 months. She said that makes no difference and if I do n't pay the $1.00 I will be charged a $37.00 late fee for every month it 's not paid. I checked the statement they provide online and it does n't show anywhere this $1.00 came from. How can I be charged a minimum charge on a card that 's been closed for ten months.
