Synchrony Financial Credit card department,
I called Synchrony Bank as my Chevron card had been declined. I was informed that since I had filed bankruptcy, the account had been closed - no disputing that. The changes and payments on the account were all post-bankruptcy, and I asked if I would receive a statement for my final payment. I was told that since the account was closed, I would not receive a statement. I asked what the balance was and was given the current amount. I was told I could not make payment online or over the phone but had to mail the payment. I am not comfortable making a payment on a closed account where no balance will be documented for me to verify.
