Closing/Cancelling account Texas
On -/-/2016 I responded to an offer by Elan Financial for a visa card and was approved for a credit line of $2000.00 on -/-/2016. Shortly after I received my visa card ending in # -. In -/-/2016 I requested an update to my mailing address and phone # and in response I received two separate letters one dated -/-/- & another -/-/2016 both thanking me for contacting Cardmember Services and that they appreciate the opportunity to be of assistance. Regrettably, we are unabe to process your request at this time. Please contact Cardmember Service Dept. @ number listed below. Once I called I ended up being transferred to there fraud dept which I found ridiculous since they changed the address & phone to my other account. After getting no response to my request I submitted a payment to the account above and received a statement with a credit of $10.00 to the account. I noticed that the account stated that it was closed and to destroy and cards in my possession. I called to be told that it was n't closed, but under review? Unless I received the statement I would have never known it was closed and / or under review! On -/-/2016 I wrote Elan Financial a letter which on -/-/2016 they acknowledged by updating my address but failed to address the account closure / under review. This time they sent a letter confirming the address change to both the old and new address. We a coming to the new year and I am still waiting for an explanation for there actions.
