Wells Fargo & Company Credit card department,
I I have a Visa cc with WF for over - years. I make payments before the due day to avoid late fee charges. In the -/-/- statement I noticed a charge of $37.00 for a late fee when the payment was received - days prior to the due date. When I called I was given a credit back for the late fee but not for the payment because I was enter as an adjustment. I argued that the -/-/- payment went in and why I needed to double pay for -/-/-. The customer service representative continue to state I did not pay the account, which I did and before the due date. My grievance is they are not crediting the payment in the correct category so they can continue charging late fee for payment. It is fraudulent and misleading to the customer stating because they label the payment as an adjustment now the consumer must double pay in the next payment creating hardship for the customer and benefiting the -. I would like someone to look into this practice and make individuals aware, I also want my account to be corrected. Thank you in advance for your assistance.
