GC Services Limited Partnership Credit card department,
Delinquent account North Carolina
First off, I have excellent credit and I pay all of my bills on time. If I owe it, I pay it and I pay it on-time. With that being said, here 's my story : I opened a corporate - - account with a previous employer in early - for - associates ( myself and - other ) to use for business expenses. I left that company in - and agreed to leave the account open for 1 month while automatic billings were changed. I made sure all of the open balances were paid on both cards before I left. The company 's physical address was the billing address for the corporate cards. In - - I rec 'd a call from a company, GC Services informing me that my - - - card had been sent to collections and I owed them $400.00. I had no idea what they were talking about and after about 5 minutes of going back and forth figured out that they were referring to the - Corporate account from my previous employer. I asked for a copy of the statement, the date of the transaction, or anything else they could give me an
billing address. I explained that I was no longer employed at that company and would n't be able to help them without some additional information. I called - direct and was able to determine that the charge was from - - ( 4 months after I left the company ). I did not know of the charge, did not approve the charge and was n't informed by anyone when the charge was billed. I was never contacted by - - about this charge. This is obviously a fraudulent charge. I conveyed this to the contact at GC Services, he reluctantly agreed, and he closed the case. As far as I knew, now I seem to be on a 5 month schedule of a new contact at GC Services calling me and asking for the same $400.00 ( -, -, - and now - ). In - GC Services did provide the statement with the charge and again I confirmed that it was not my charge, that I had no knowledge of the charge and that it was the first time I had actually seen the statement that contained the fraudulent charge. I even gave them written confirmation that it was fraudulent. Now, GC Services - - - - ext - ) has started the process again. I told him the same story. He said that - - had looked at my claim and denied to accept it as fraudulent. When I call - - ( I still have other - - accounts - not for long ), they have no idea who GC Services is speaking with at - - nor do they seem to have any interest or way to contact them. The only thing they seem to able to do to is give me GC Services customer service number which again leads back to the same person that called me to collect the same $400.00 ( original charge was $190.00 -. I 'm locked in a never ending cycle of GC Services claiming that - - has denied the claim and - - claiming that they do n't know who GC Services is talking to. It is beyond frustrating and at this point feels more like harassment than anything else. I 'm not sure how a fraudulent charge is better defined as fraudulent than mine ( no possession of the card, no knowledge of the charge, and no contact about the bill ). I want GC Services to stop contacting me and I want - - to acknowledge this charge as fraudulent and process it the same way they would any other fraudulent charge ( over the past 10 years, I 've had - other cases of fraudulent charges that were dealt with properly ). HELP!
