Bank of America Credit card department,
Closing/Cancelling account California
On - -, 2016 I received a correspondence from Bank of American stating that my credit card account ( - ) is being closed by the bank for irregular activity. My credit line is $47000.00 and I made a small purchase around $3000.00 at a local liquor store. I called and spoke to a manager in the credit department and what I was advised was that the merchant where I used it at was a red flag, therefore the bank decided to close my account, and final decision is that they will not be able to reopen my account. I feel that my credit card account is being closed for a reason that is out of my control, and it has nothing to do with my credit, nor financial status. I believe no individual has control and knowledge as to where to use a credit card that is not a concern for Bank of America. I will like to have this information reviewed and I strongly request to have my account reopened so I may be able to continue my relationship with Bank of America.
