Synchrony Financial Credit card department,
Credit determination California
In - of this year my wallet was stolen and soon learned that there was unauthorized charges to my credit card. I disputed the charges and they took care of the unauthorized charges and credited my account back and even got a new credit card in the mail. Prior to this incident, though I rarely used the account, I did always pay on time when there was a balance. I received a letter from the creditor in -, following this dispute indicating that they had closed my account after reviewing my credit file without warning me. When I opened this credit card I had good credit standing and feel that I should have been warned about their decision. In the letter they sent me there are a number of reasons but feel that I needed a fair warning before they decided to close the account. I have been working on re-establishing my credit and this decision that they took will affect this process tremendously.
