- my car insurance with - ended when I found a cheaper rate ... sooo I did not pay my final bill of - to them. So my policy was cancel. I noticed when I started viewing my credit report recently the above balance was on it. I do not understand why - - sold my account to a third party collection agency name Credit Collection Services..I always in the past searched for better car insurance rates and not been penalized by having the balance on my credit report for not paying the policy in full ... Is this legal? By the way never read anything on my policy stating that unpaid balances go to collections ...
