I have held various American Express credit cards for well over 20 years. Part of that included a Gold card, a Platinum card, and now an Optima card. I always pay my bill on time and always pay more than the required amount. Twice, at least, I have applied for a credit line increase from - to - dollars and I get declined. It 's always for a different reason, but I 'm frustrated at trying to improve my credit report and American Express account - but nothing seems to help. Although I do n't have the financial standing I once did, I still deserve some courtesy and recognition that my account and the way I handle it is greatly improved. I 've never been late, never over the limit, and always pay more than the minimum. Can you help?
