I received an email from American Express Serve stating that I had a negative account balance. After reviewing purchases I noticed that serveral charges had been charged twice to my account. I called AME- serve to try and resolve the issue only to find that - could not get through to customer service due to technical difficulties. This went on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Sunday the issue was resolved without any notification or explanation as to what happened. Then on Monday the issue resurfaced once again and after holding for two hours I was able to get through to an agent whom blamed the store for charging my card twice although they only swiped once. After a dispute was opened I was then transferred back to the customer service department in which I would attempt to address the issue of both current and previous duplicate charges and what they could do to take care of the late fees I incurred by not having access to my funds. I was told they could do nothing and then was hung up on because I recorded the phone call. This issue first occurred from Wednesday and lasted until Sunday.
