Synchrony Financial Credit card department,
I had made a payment to payoff my card online with PayPal Extras MasterCard. Later, I booked a hotel stay using the card - -. As we checked, we noticed one of our belongings were missing. We reported to front desk and they stated they would do an investigation but in the mean time they would refund our stay - in full. I thought my card was at a zero balance. - day I received a late pay notice via -. I was confused. I contacted the credit card company immediately. They stated the hotel charge was not reversed and I had a balance. I was reported 30+ late to the credit agencies for non-payment. I was not aware of any balance and have never been late ever. I have absolutely no late pays on my credit at all. PayPal said they would file a dispute to correct the issue and that I would need to speak with customer service to resolve payment issues. Call was dropped. I called today to resolve the issue and discuss the late payment and make whatever balance payment in full. They stated they could waive the late fee but would not send anything to the credit bureau as a correction. They stated they " could n't '', even if there was a mistake made. I was not happy with this resolution. They stated all I could do was dispute through - or one of the other agencies. I filed a dispute today with - and I am claiming that the 30+ day late on my credit is incorrect. I am asking that this get resolved as soon as possible. This is negatively impacting my credit.
