I use to live in -, CA - - - -. I stayed there with a person who is now my ex. When we went our separate ways I asked the utility companies to disconnect/discontinue service at that location and establish service for a new location. The -. -. - - claimed that an adult over the age of - requested to keep the service on in my name even after I had asked for the services to be discontinued there. They told me that it did n't have to be me, and that any adult could make the request without my knowledge and consent. The balance from that location as well as my new location was combined after the other party moved. My gas bill was $330.00. and I could n't pay the entire bill at the time because I was a -.


After many years of disputing the information, with no favorable results. I decided to pay the debt and so I sent a certified letter via The USPS ( That I 've Attached ) along with the full payment to settle the account. The letter basically said that upon cashing this check that you agree to the terms of this letter. The terms are : 1 ). Remove derogatory information from my credit reports. 2 ). Show in your system as paid in full. The - - along with Financial Credit Network did - of the - things they showed it as paid in full, but failed to remove the item from my credit reports. I have both the canceled check and copy of the letter sent. They agreed to the terms and now are back peddling and trying to avoid honoring the agreement in the letter.
