I have received a letter from First National Collection Bureau stating that I owe them $4200.00 for a - - credit card. I was involved in a class action lawsuit that erased this debt and I received a payment from -.This was -/-/-. Even if this is mine from - it is well beyond the statutes of limitations, and made invalid because of the deceptive practices employed by - -, So with that said I believe this is a violation of the FCRA or at the least a violation of - State Unlawful Debt Collections Practices act. In order for a collection agency to collect debts from an - resident the company must be registered and licensed by the state of -, which this company does not posses, Therefore First National Collection Bureau is not entitled to to collect OR attempt to collect ANY debt from myself.This action alone can result in severe statutory penalties by the state of -.If this company has reported this to any credit reporting agency, this could constitute fraud on the collection agency 's part under both federal and state laws. This has been on my credit report in the distant past but has been
am very happy to see them in court here in - County -. I do not believe that anything this company professes to hold can stand up to the scrutiny of a court room. This attempt is illegal on many front 's and I am tired of desperate companies trying to scam me and I am prepared to see them in a court room, in fact I ask for it. In short this company is in violation of both federal and state laws and I want this to cease. I am writing a letter to my state AG and the state of - AG as well. I have looked this company up and they have an - rating with the - and there is at least - complaints on rip off report, this company is an obvious scammer. On - notes, concerning them, there is pages of complaints about this company and their attempts at scamming people across the nation.
