Amex Credit card department,
On -/-/2016 American Express placed an inquiry on both my - and - credit report which I did not authorize. The American Express Website contains a page ( https : - ) where they claim you are able to " See if we Have Any Pre-Qualified Offers for You Find out in less than a minute without affecting your credit score '' However, when I completed this information it resulted in hard inquiry on which reduced my credit score by 9 points. I called to complain about the situation but was treated very rudely by " New Applications Manager '' in - ( - ). She told me there was nothing that could be done and when I asked her how I could complain to the company CEO she told me to " google it ''. I am shocked at the lack of customer service when an obvious error has been made on the part of American Express. I would like all inquires on -/-/2016 removed from my credit report immediately.
