Signed up for a Lowe 's Consumer Credit Card, managed by Synchrony Bank. Signing up for " paperless billing '' apparently means " do not send any statements/alerts whatsoever ''. Eventually - I forgot about a balance, and had a late fee plus interest. Also - I had to " opt in '' to receive email statements/alerts. I paid the balance in full. Receive an alert a couple weeks later that there is still an outstanding balance on my account. I see Synchrony Bank actually charged me interest on the balance I paid in full. I immediately called and spoke with - - rep ID # : - ) ; she waived the interest, removed the late fee, and canceled my account. I would like an official agency to investigate their business practices, because this seems like a scam ; " let 's see how many people we can straight up steal money from! If they complain, give them their money back no-questions-asked, but if they just pay, keep charging them! ''
