Closing/Cancelling account Wisconsin

I have tried several times to cancel my Bank of America, - - -, Visa card. After I click the button to tell them I want to cancel but not because of lost or stolen card, they transfer me to another line which tells me either they are very busy and to call back or they give me the option to choose a call back from them within a certain amount of time. I never receive a call back. I think this is an attempt to prevent me from cancelling the card and that I will get tired of the run around and forget about cancelling the card.
