About a month ago, my credit card was compromised which required me to get a new card with a new number, during this process Barclays Bank of Delaware declined - recurring charges for my gym membership in the amount of $17.00 two times for both my membership and my wife 's. A few days later, due to the payment being declined the gym submitted - charges of $42.00 ( $17.00 membership fee + $25.00 late fee ) which Barclays allowed to be charged to the cancelled card. I have been disputing the $25.00 portion of the - charges with Barclays as in my opinion this late fee was charged to me due to their actions.
