Synchrony Financial Credit card department,
The credit card company erroneously charged me interest on my account, after the account was paid in full, did n't provide notice of the interest so kept charging more minimum interest. After 30 days past due, they sent me an email, so I immediately submitted payment. 1 ) New credit card, with a new charge on -/-/16 in the amount of $200.00. 2 ) Payment cycle is on the - of the month, so this payment was due -/-/16. 3 ) I forgot payment right away so they charged my $25.00 late fee, which I was fine with.
5 ) It looks like on -/-/16 they charged a $4.00 interest fee. I dispute this fee since I had paid my CC balance in full, which was posted on -/-/16, a day before the cycle ends. 6 ) I did not receive notice of this $4.00 interest charge so was under the impression my account was paid in full. 7 ) On -/-/16, they charged me a minimum interest payment of $2.00. Again, I was unaware of this transaction since I thought my account was paid in full and did not receive notice. 8 ) On -/-/16, they again charged me a minimum interest payment of $2.00. Again, I was unaware of this transaction since I thought my account was paid in full and did not receive notice. 9 ) On -/-/16 I receive an email from Synchrony Bank informing me that my account is past due. I was confused, but worried about my credit score I immediately logged in and submitted payment for the full balance. 10 ) On -/-/16, I started receiving notice from Credit monitoring companies of the late payment they reported. To my knowledge, they have reported 60+ days late to - and 30+ late to -. I am unsure of - since I do not subscribe to them, but if so I would like that record to be fixed as well, please. 11 ) On -/-/16, my payment posted for the $8.00 of interest that they charged me on -/-/16, -/-/16, and -/-/16. 12 ) I am requesting reimbursement of all erroneous interest charges. I dispute the -/-/16 charge since my account was paid in full by the time the -/-/16 interest was assessed. I dispute the - and - interest charges since they were the result of the erroneous -/-/16 interest being charged. 13 ) I am also requesting all erroneous reports to the credit bureaus to be fixed. My credit score has gone down - points as a result of these erroneous reports.
