U.S. Bancorp Credit Card Complaint

Because I have earned more free air miles than I can ever use, -/-/2016, I accepted the offer of Fidelity Investment to take out a Fidelity credit card issued by Elan Financial Services. At the time I opened the Elan account, I completed an automatic transfer form so that any balances on my credit card account would be swept from one of the accounts I maintain at Fidelity that has approximately $50000.00 at all times. Last Saturday, -/-/-, I received via US mail a letter from Elan Financial Services dated -/-/-. In the letter, Elan told me that " your automatic payment service has been cancelled ... .. '' This was my first notification of this cancellation, even though I received at least three prior messages from lan via email.

( the only account number I have ) on my Fidelity statement from which automatic payments were to be made was not sufficient for Elan to set up/or maintain the automatic payment service. Why it took from -/-/- to -/-/- for Elan to let me know this, and then by mail (! ) was not something Elan representatives wanted to discuss. And the representative I spoke with clearly did not believe in the legal disclosures she insisted on reading to me to effect the one-time payment I made before cancelling the credit card. During this reading, when I was essentially told to shut up and listen, she insisted on my confirming the correctness of an account number that Fidelity had provided on the phone to the representative. This was not an account number to which I had access. The Elan representative did offer to waive my late fees!!! But as today, that has not happened. .
