Regions Financial Corporation Credit card department,
I have a $25000.00 credit card line with Regions Bank split into - accounts. I was going to be in the hospital and had my wife bring the - checks to Regions, which I have never been late on. Afer being discharged from the - - I went thru what she did & noticed that Regions had misapplied both payments to - account there fore reporting me 30 days late in my credit report. When I got out I went in person with their receipt and a copy of both my cancelled checks asked for the manager & he was tied up. I knew the assistant and asked him to have - call me as I needed it fixed and wanted a copy of the letter sent to the credit bureau. No one called me until the next day even though I was there early Monday -. The same assistant said - is still busy and knows my concern. I told him I wanted it fixed in writing. Now I am late because they are over charging me on - account and the wrong amount on the other. This is being done intentionally and is against the law. I have NEVER been late and they say they can correct it internally on the payments but that does n't undo reporting me 30 days late when I was NOT.
