I had 2 loans with a company called - - in - Nc. I paid my loans off. AFTER my loans were paid. - sold the company, ( not my loans the entire company ) to a company by the name of mariner finance. Now mariner finance is reporting to the credit bureaus that I have 3 unpaid loans and I owe them money. After disputing this on my credit report 2 where somewhat fixed but a third still remained. So I disputed it again only to have them remove the 2 paid loans and leave an unpaid loan. I have proof that I paid the first 2 but not to mariner bc I paid it to - - before the company was sold. I have nothing with the name mariner finance on it bc I have never done business with these people. all account numbers were changed after the company was sold. So the account numbers I have do n't match. Furthermore they claim there were 3 loans and I only had 2. How can I provide proof the loan never existed, if it never existed? Upon contacting mariner finance I was told they would settle the loan for $700.00. But I do n't owe them money! I feel like they holding me hostage with my personal info they bought from another company. This is not right and these bullies should be stopped.
