Amex Credit card department,
Credit line increase/decrease North Carolina
- - would like to have me go through a financial review, which they claim is a verification of an individual 's income to see if it can support provided credit limits, but the process is NOT a legitimate verification of income and is discriminatory since it is NOT consistent from one customer to another. The process is not a legitimate verification of income because they are only checking income reported on my - tax return. In my case, I received a raise in -, which in theory should support higher credit limits, but - - wo n't see that raise because they are trying to use last year 's tax forms to verify income, which is old information.
income. The process is NOT consistent between customers, which means it 's discriminatory. I 'm being asked to provide my - tax forms, but other people get an opportunity to provide pay stubs, current bank statements, or a conference call between customer service at the customer 's bank and - -. I 'm going to unfairly receive a lower credit limit because - - is trying to verify my income based on old information. If I was able to provide more recent financial data, like my pay stub, I 'd receive a fairer verification of my income, as the pay stub would be much more recent than my - taxes and display my raise. I also started a business in - and have income from that, which wo n't appear on my - tax return.
