Incorrect information on credit report Information is not mine California
I 'm a former credit card holder with US Bank. I closed my account in - - when I moved out of California, but an unauthorized fraudulent charge was posted on the card in -. Since US Bank had no forwarding address for me, they let the fraud charge stay on the account and added late fees on top of the charge. They finally tracked me down in - - with a notice to submit the charge to a collections agency. I called their Fraud department and opened an investigation into the charge. They finally resolved the dispute acknowledging that the charge and the associated late fees were not my responsibility. They closed the account with a zero balance. But my credit reports from all - bureaus are still showing six months of late charges, completely trashing my credit score. I 've been calling US Bank card holder services, the Fraud department, the Collections department and their regular customer service and nobody is interested in helping me resolve the issue. Every time, I get transferred to - or - agents who finally hang up on me. This is the worst possible customer service ever possible and I have no recourse to fix these late-payment items that are not even my fault. I 'm hiring a credit repair agency to dispute these charges but I want others to know how bad this bank can treat you.
