Harris and Harris from - IL has been calling consistently to collect a debt. The debt amount is due to - - - in -. Since the first call from Harris and Harris in - -, I recorded and was able confirm : Harris and Harris was trying to collect a debt but the I had never received any mail notice for this debt. The reason was that Harris and Harris and - - sent it to wrong mailing address - wrong apartment which is why I never received the mail.


I recorded that conversation and I also called - - hospital billing and confirmed they corrected their input mistake to have the correct apartment address. That was recorded as well. Today, - - -, I received a call for $360.00 being due to - -. I was able to ask and confirm that the address that the mail for bills was sent to the WRONG apartment again. I told the collector from Harris and Harris this and she asked for payment and fortunately, I had checked my - - records online in - - and made a payment for $2900.00 dollars in full. This included the payment that Harris and Harris was asking for again - essentially a double payment for same bill and a BILL NEVER SENT to my CORRECT mailing address. I refused to make another payment for a paid bill and the debt collector insisted I PROVE i had made payment and fax copy of payment that I had made. I told her : - to contact her client- - - - bill had been paid in complete since - - to get payment made records - Note that asking for payment for paid debt was fraudulent - sending bills to incorrect address was a violation She refused to do any of this and insisted I fax proof. She hung up when I mentioned the above points. Pls note in your records. Regards, - -
