Amex Credit card department,
Hello, through my reports, I 've come to learn that there is currently a name that is being reported to all - credit agencies which is incorrect. The source is American Express. For background into this issue : My true legal name is - characters long " - '', however AME- reports my name is " - ''. I have contacted American Express to fix this issue, and their response in writing has always been " Unfortunately due to system constraints, we have updated your first name as this, because it can not exceed more then - characters. '' This is problematic for me because " - '' is a legitimate name and not an abbreviation for " - ''. This is misleading and to me is quite comical that AME- would be operating a " system '' that can not properly communicate someones name to agencies as important as our countries credit agencies. Also I should note that NO other credit card company ( and I have many ) have this problem! I believe that AME- needs to be pushed to comply with operating a fair system that can handle more then - characters, and be forced to not report the incorrect name to agencies. Thank you for your time, and I am looking forward to a response and resolution to this matter, which certainly affects many - citizens.
