Closing/Cancelling account Illinois
Elan Financial Services closed, I faxed a letter twice on -/-/16 and -/-/16 I was told they would reopened the account. I was told it was closed because there was cease and desist on the account, the supervisor never informed back in -/-/- that they placed the account in no contact status. I found out today the account is still closed both faxes went through on the account. This has been a nightmare and it is affecting my credit, I have never been 30 days later or bounced any checks with them my last payment of $180.00 posted to my checking account today. I gave the bank permission per my fax letter to contact me but now they are claiming I faxed in paperwork back in -/-/- that states I cease and desist which I did not. I have a good customer but I ca n't get a straight answer from anyone, I have a copy of the faxed letter at home which I faxed twice. The account should have never been closed.
