A boyfriend of mine left me. I am a - and he took everything that he owned while I was on the road. Now I have a debt collector and Ashley Furniture calling, harassing, and threatening me on a continuous basis as if I purchased this furniture from them. I have talked to them numerous times and advised them of this but they continue to call and harass me. I want the calls to stop immediately. I do not have a debt with them and have never signed a contract with them. Their issue is not with me and I find it ridiculous that I am being held responsible for this. I also find it asinine that they can contact me because of word of mouth from him. They have threatened to lock me up twice. How can a company get away get away with such blatant disregard for proper placement of responsibility. They have told me that they are going to advise him to have me locked up for his debt.
