Amex Credit card department,
On -/-/2016 at approximately -, I called - to inquire about an Amex Everyday Credit Card offer I received in the mail. I spoke with a woman named - - and explained that my only interest in applying is so that I can consolidate some debit form another credit card I already had. I stated that if the credit limit was n't high enough for my balance transfer needs, I would be declining the offer. At the end of the phone call, - said I had qualified for a $2000.00 credit limit and I told I would like to decline at this time because the limit was n't sufficient to help with my consolidation. - said I would receive some information in the mail, and if the card came, to just " ignore '' it and nothing would happen. By -/-/2016, I started receiving letters with my new PIN and also a letter stating that my balance transfer was n't approved. I later also received my physical card in the mail.
