Payday loan Taking/threatening an illegal action Threatened arrest/jail if do not pay Texas
I took out a payday loan back in 2012 with Cash Store. I strongly believe I paid the money back. A couple years later someone contacted me posing as a police officer saying I still owed more money. He told me if I did not render a payment immediately, I would be arrested. He also contacted family members and disclosed personal information and my full social security number. Out of fear, I rendered a $800.00 payment. It cleared immediately and I never received a confirmation email. Now years later ... I am being harassed again. They are very threatening ... Threaten to come pick me up and hold me without bail ... And say i have committed a felony. They will not provide me with anything in writing and want me to use money gram to transfer or wire the funds. They constantly pose as police officers and/or attorneys or investigators in - -. I have contacted - - court, and none of them are legit. No matter how many times I change my number they harass and leave threatening voicemails for me and my extended family. I feel the Cash Store has sold or shared my information illegally.
