At the time that I opened the business account, Ii was asked for my tax id which was provided and also my personal information. I was told that the business credit card was going to be opened under my tax id and my company '' - - - ''. I was approved for the business card and the personal. Everything was going great until unfortunately I got very ill and I had to close the business. I was having a hard time paying the business account on time but I was making on time payments on my personal account. I was never late on the personal account. Now every time I fall behind on the business account payments, they block both cards. I believe at this point I was misrepresented by American Express because they never told me that they would link my business and personal accounts together. I believe that the point of the tax id is to open business accounts and for my personal account to not deal with the consequences of what happens in the business account. If a consumer entered a contract or an agreement as a result of a fraudulent or negligent statement is to be considered misrepresentation. I believe I am protected under the misrepresentation act of -.
