I applied for a Walmart Credit Card through Synchrony Bank on -/-/16. I was approved for $800.00 and was told my card woul arrive in 7 - 10 days and that if I wanted to make a purchase that I could do so as I was being given a temporary card and that that card would be valid for 7 days. I had no access to the numbers, however I assumed ( wrongly ) that the information would transfer to my Walmart account and I could make a purchase. Also I was being offered a 10 % credit for a purchase up to $250.00 if made that day. The information never showed up. I tried everything but all the numbers for Walmart customer service were closed for the day, and Synchrony has no customer service available on Weekends. So I called Walmart over 7 times on -/-/16 to try and resolve the issue. the supposed credit card division


After this I went online to read reviews and what a disaster Synchrony is to it 's customers, I would say 85 % of the complaints are from people who had bigger problems than mine that cost them money, time, and serious mental anguish. In cancelling my card I have a feeling I will never be able to try and open another card at Walmart. It is like you are blacklisted from ever opening an account. EVER. If I new that there wsa some legal recourse I would do that, hoever since I lost no money or credit of any type this would not be a winning case. But maybe the CFPB can request all the phone records for the - of - and find out if they are violating the law, and then nai lthem to the wall. I really wanted that card.
